Pippa’s Worry Monster - Danielle Murray

Danielle and I had already done one project together - her school readiness book, Beyond Big School, when she reached out to me to see if I was interested in illustrating her debut children’s book, Pippa’s Worry Monster in 2022. The book is an insight into childhood anxiety, something I definitely had experience with, and I loved getting the chance to create this ‘monster’ and then banish him once and for all.

Pippa’s Worry Monster was illustrated using my iPad and Procreate. I used watercolour style brushes as well as pencil brushes to achieve a hand drawn, whimsical style.
